The American Tao is a part of the universal Tao. It may contain concepts and ideas relative to a specific culture or ethnic group, but so can it be said that there exists a Chinese Tao, or a German Tao, or even a Muslim Tao. Point is that the Tao is unlimited and universal. It is the essence of life, the creator of all, and the lawgiver of Nature. We are an integral part of Tao.

Eastern traditions call it Tao; western philosophy calls it God; what is in a name? It all means and functions the same way.
