ducks
to see; just Coots that sound like some one passing gas. They are a funny
bird to see, all black with wide green feet and an amber beak.
Onward and upward, this is truer that it sounds since we left the pond
and headed to the hospitality house at the top of the gardens. The hospitality
house used to be the residence of the garden's owners. I don't know their
names but it is not Descanso. The house now quarters an art gallery of
oils, watercolors, and acrylic paintings of landscapes, flowers and generally
peaceful scenic views.
Our final stop was the Japanese Tea House where we all sampled green tea
and cookies. This area is nestled away among the trees and a small stream.
It begs one to give pause to the hectic pace of life and to contemplate
nature at its finest. How can one not find Tao in nature? Look at the
beauty of the flowers and trees, listen to the songs of the birds and
wind playing through the tree boughs, and smell the fragrance of nature,
how can one not believe Tao is with us always. Sorry about the lecturing
but, sometimes one needs to express these feeling to others so that they
can also feel the presence of Tao in each person's life. Be mindful of
this and people will make the right decisions in their life.
Alas, but all good things must come to an end and so did this day, but
not without taking a small piece of the gardens home in memories of the
flowers, the trees, and of the friends, new and old, and the sharing in
Nature. May the Tao be with you, always.
An
unforgettable Sunday with a wonderful Tao family!!
